Cool Area Rugs

When it comes to decorating your new home, you have quite a few hard decisions to make, like how the walls are going to look, what kind of floor you are going to have. When it comes to the floor, one thing that can really help to bring out the best in your floor is area rugs. They can help to divide the different areas and also help with the wear and tear of carpets in the areas that are most used. For instance by placing area rugs in the hallway, you can make the carpet last longer.

I must admit that I have liked and admired oriental rugs, even though I have never bought one before. I couldn't really justify buying oriental area rugs before because for one they always seemed overpriced and I didn't feel a need for them in my last residence. I have always enjoyed my wooden floors to cover them completely and area rugs were the perfect solution to divide up the space and make my house look all filled up but still very roomy.

As anyone who has been decorating their house by themselves will agree that it is very difficult to pick out the decorations that are looking good in the displays but you are not sure how they will look once they have to gel in with the rest of the decorations in your home. So to tell you the truth, it was pretty frustrating, trying to pick out the area rugs that would suit the space in our new home. The most difficult thing that I had to contend with was how the area rugs that I bought would change the look of the area they were placed in. But still I plodded on because I knew that this was the best solution for filling up the space in my house.

Needless to say, it was a bit of trial and error to start off with because the first few area rugs that I bought didn't look quite right and this left me very disappointed. But it did give me a few good ideas as to what would suit my place and what I should stay away from. I am glad to say that after that it didn't take me very long to get the place fully decorated and the area rugs have really made the place look homely and beautiful.
